According to Kokkia's website, the i10S works with the iPod Classic, and that's a cruicial consideration.
The i10S should communicate effectively with the Philips, since they are both Bluetooth devices that use 2.1 EDR Bluetooth.
So it looks as though the answer to your question is yes. I may sound as though I'm being cautious (I am), but that's because I'm currently having issues with another make of Bluetooth transmitter and receiver combination on my iPod Classic that I've just bought.
As a fellow user (we all are) an not an Apple employee, I'm offering my best understanding of this. I'm fairly certain that Apple will not provide you with any answer to your question. If you feel that you need further help, I suggest you try the Kokkia i10s FAQs, at http://www.kokkia.com/faq/i10spairingconnecting.html
I just received my i10s and it does not seem to work with my iPod classic. When I plug it into the iPod the blue light comes on and blinks every 5 seconds like the instructions say it will if it is paired (which it is not). It does not pair to my Pyle headphones or my creative bluetooth speakes or a collegues bluetooth headset.

Are you sure it hasn't paired with something else, such as your phone?
Otherwise, as I suggested, check the Kokkia i10 FAQs.
