Q: My iPhone 5 was stolen and I was able to locate with find my iPhone also it was on lost mode today I'm not seeing the iPhone location, it showing offline is it possible the person reset the iPhone .

My iPhone 5 was stolen Saturday night I was able to locate it Sunday morning by Monday evening I am not seeing it showing on find my iPhone on my iPad it's is showing offline.can the person reset my iPhone even though it's on lost mode.

    Hello Abiola,

     

    The iPhone can be restored by taking it in Recovery Mode, but it cannot be used without Activating the iPhone with your Apple Id that you used to setup Find My iPhone on your Device which means the iPhone is of No use to the person who might have received until your remove the Device from your iCLoud Account.

     

    And the reason why the device is showing Offline can be either the iPhone is Turned Off, it is not connected to a Internet Connection (Wifi or Cellular Data) or as you said if restored which will disconnect your iPhone from Internet connection.
