I have a MacBook Pro running 10.8.5.
Everything's fine when I'm upstairs, out of the way!
When I come downstairs into the same room as my wife's PC laptop though, she immediately loses her internet connection.
Pretty much every time!
Possibly happening with her phone also.
Any suggestions as to if this is even possible, and if so, how can I remedy it?

Try changing the channel on the router.
Thanks. Can't see any way of doing this sadly. Might WPS make a difference?
If you log into your router and look at wireless settings, you should see an option to select the wireless channel.
Fab. Thanks. Duly done. 13 channels to choose from on my Sky wireless router. Sky helpling advised trying them one at a time for min 24 hours until problem is solved.
