I have had this experience with 2 websites that I was using without a problem. The website begins to launch and then I get a blank white screen. When I try to launch the same website on my husband's computer (windows), I have no problem.

I am using Safari. I tried switching to Firefox and one website worked. Then I switched to google chrome and was able to get on both sites. It's just annoying that Safari, my default browser, does this and I can't rectify it.
You might try deleting cookies and cruft - see Safari's "Reset Safari" command under Safari menu, then check Safari Preferences > Privacy.
