Bluetooth accessory not visible from iPhone

Hi,

We have a Bluetooth accessory that uses the standard PAN profile. When the pairing is initiated from our device everything gets setup and it works fine. BUT when we try to pair our device from the iPhone (prefered by the user) it doesn’t even show up on the display, which makes the pairing impossible. We have tested iOS6 & iOS7

What do we need to do to be recognized by the iPhone / Apple? Does our accessory need to be approved by Apple in any way? According to the MFi information accessories using standard BT-profiles are not requested to join MFi.

Thanks

Yes, but we do not have any apps, we just want to access the internet via bluetooth teathering. I still don't understand why our device not even is shown, or if there is something we should do to get it recognized by the iPhone.

The issue is that our device only has a very limited user interface, which makes the pairing from that end very complicated.
