Q: how do I get pictures on find my friends?

Thank you for the question.  It sounds like you are not seeing the photos of your friends in the Find My Friends app like in this image:

These photos are pulled from the photos in your Contacts.  There are two things you need to check to have photos appear for your friends. 

The first thing is to add a photo to the contacts that are in your Find My Friends app.  Use the steps in the following article to add a photo to your friends' contact cards:

The next thing you need to confirm is that under Settings > Privacy > Contacts, Find My Friends is turned on.  This will allow the Find My Friends app to access the photos assigned to your contacts.
