Safari Time Zone issues

My time zone is set correctly in Preferences. Why is it that Safari is the only browser that is 6 hour adrift. Firefox & Chrome show the correct time on documents

as shown here:

Time Zone

Your account is set to: Europe/London ?

Your browser's time is -6 hours (-360 minutes) from Greenwich Mean Time

Firefox and Chrome both say: Your browser's time is 0 hours (0 minutes) from Greenwich Mean Time

Come on Safari, you should know better.

Hello Ron.D,

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with the time in Safari. I recommend the steps below for the issue you described:

OS X Mavericks

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. From the View menu, choose Language & Region.
  3. Click the Advanced… button.
  4. Click the Dates tab.
  5. Click the Restore Defaults button.
  6. Click the Times tab.
  7. Click the Restore Defaults button.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Quit the app where you were seeing incorrect dates or times displayed.
  10. Open the app again, and verify that the dates and times are now displayed correctly.
