The cd rom of my macbook pro is acting weird.

It takes in the disk, makes a weird noise, and then it just spits it out. At first I thought it was the disks but I think it's the rom. I've tried cleaning both but I'm getting frustrated. I just got the laptop and it's not working right. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I just downloaded the new operating system, I'm not sure. I do have the support coverage. What do I do to fix it?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), Brand new, got in November 2013

14 day return over the counter.

If you are past 14 days on your purchase, you have a 1 year warranty.

I would take it in.
