In apple mail, I am trying to get my folders to store more than 30 days of email. As it stands now, if I need an email older than 30 days, I need to go onto gmail.com. Is there a way to open this up on my MBP? I need to be able to access these emails for efficiency's sake. Thanks to anyone who can help.
MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors. Check what you have for "Delete ____ Messages when..".
It's also possible that you have rules (Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Rules) that are deleting them.

I'm not concerned with deleted. I'm concerned with emails that I am trying to archive in folders for future reference.
That being said, I did as you suggested but fear that will not help.
Any thoughts?
