UltraAta 133 Drives

I've got several drives I'm been using on my G4 with the installation of a PCI ata card. Is it possible to still use these drive internally? Some kind of converter to SATA or can I install my PCI card? Am I stuck putting these in external enclosures and if so what should I do? I read about the extra to spots on the motherboard for SATA ... would an external SATA case be the best? thanks.
