Q: Disk Utilities not seeing 2 Tgig hd

I need some help, I am trying to install a 2 Tgig drive in a Apple Xserve1,1 with sys 10.6.8. The disk utilities does NOT show the drive to be formatted.  I am using a Toshiba MK2002TSKB.  What I am doing wrong?

    Apple's ADMs are well known for being particular about which drives from which manufacturer works or not. If you search/browse this forum you will find threads listing which 2TB drives others have been successful in using. Here's one you may find useful?

    The thread mentions Enterprise class drives. If the drive you're trying to use is not enterprise ready (ie: you just pulled out of a any old workstation) then it may not work.
