Q: I have an older ipad and have OS 5 so ibooks app can't be loaded. I can't find the older ibooks app.

I have an older ipad with an OS 5 so I am unable to load ibooks to my ipad. I need the earlier ibook version.

iPad, iOS 5.1.1

Try downloading the current version of the iBooks app on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your purchase history. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and you should be able to download an older compatible version of it

    This may help you...

    Here's how you install an earlier version of an app:

    1. Open the App Store (with iOS 4.3.3 or later) or Mac App Store (with OS X Mountain Lion only).
    2. Go to the Purchased screen (iOS) or Purchases tab (OS X).
    3. Select the app you want to download.

    If a compatible version of the app is available for your version of iOS or OS X, simply confirm that you want to download it.
