Power Mac G4 and Linksys Wireless-N PCI Adapter
Purchased a Linksys WRT300N Wireless-N router to increase distance & speed in our mixed (OS X and XP) wireless environment. Working well with all my other Airport & Airport Extreme Macs, but would also like to add a non-Airport equipped early (2001) PowerMac G4.
Having seen some posts relating success with PCI Wireless-G adapters (Buffalo & Broadcom-based), am hoping that someone may have experienced Mac success with a Wireless-N adapter. Linksys offers the WMP300N PCI adapter, but it's not clear that it's Broadcom based, and the Linksys support folks were not encouraging. Has anyone had success with another brand of PCI Wireless-N adapter?
If it's possible to gain the N speed/distance advantages for this machine, I'd spend a few extra dollars. Any advice?
Thanks!
