Hey guys, just ordered a new macbook air, been a while since I got a new one, (currently on a 6 year old MBP!). I've been doing a little homework while it's on the way, and stumbled upon this: http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html
Some of the wording is a little vague, there's a part that simply says "Be sure to fully charge your portable when you plug it in for the first time, and then run Software Update to ensure you have the latest software." So that, I understand, but what is not clear to me is this:
I open the box and turn on my new macbook air, and then which of the following should be done first?
- Run the thing until the battery is 0% and then charge to 100%.
- Take it out of the box and charge it to 100% the first time you turn it on, as is.
Maybe I'm being a little cautious here, but I ordered the macbook air very specifically for the battery length, so I want to make sure I do it right.
