Respected people,
I got mac and well i transferred all my things to external hard disk such as movies then i deleted all of movie even from trash but it still occupy space how can i delete all of those files which arnt even there but still occupying space, this is really bothering me a lot please tell me how can i clear those stuff from my MacBook Pro ox 10.9.2!! Pease help me

Click on the system disk icon (Macintosh HD) and then the space bar. How much free space does it report there? In that report it does not count the Time Machine snapshots.
Evn i have eject my (Macintosh HD from my desktop ) now how can i look for it ? And how can i get that space back which is used by Time machine
Finder>Preferences>General>Hard Disk
Finder>Preferences>Sidebar>Hard Disk
Plug in your time machine and the Local snapshots will be moved over to the external, freeing up space.
i dont know what is going on i just connected hard disk and just used timemachine then i just stopped it and then i deleted some movies from my mac but that is occupying 25gb and i really cant find it. where is that space is been used and i turned off time machine too but still i cant get it.
actually i have connected my hard disk then i choose time machine then in middle of it i stop it bcause i dont find it useful then i transfer some of my data to external hard disk and then i delete it from my mac but althouh it still occupy that much space what should i do i really need help i want to remove those data and i cant even find it anywhere ? please help me
