A video I recorded views fine in quick time but stutters in FCP why?

I record and upload everything the same way but certain videos are really slow when I import them on fcp. I really don't know why. I use a Canon vixia hf r300 but i'm not sure if that really matters. I don't change any of the settings, just use the basics. Most of my videos are interviews so its a still shot. I don't know if its a matter of length of the videos or just a slow connection when I upload them (I don't think its that because I upload them from the camera with a cord)

In order for you to Log and Transfer you need to connect to the original camera media, or if you are using a copy of the original camera media, then it needs to be a complete and exact copy of the original camera media directory, including all files on the card.

If you shot in AVCHD 1080 60p then FCP7's Log and Transfer does not support that format. You can use a 3rd party application "Clipwrap" to convert the files into a format that FCP will accept by being imported.
