    What upgrades will you be requiring?

     

    Finding 'Upgrades' for a G4 will be hard to come by..

    There are several variants of the G4 iMac. To know what upgrading can even be considered, you need to post your processor's speed and the computer's screen size (measured diagonally) at a minimum. Posting the current amount of RAM installed is also useful for this discussion.

     

    The highest Mac OS that can be instlled on a G4 iMac is Mac OS 10.5.8 Leopard. Some G4 iMacs can run no higher than OS 10.4.11 Tiger.

     

    Be aware that, because of some difficult operatiosn needed to disassemble a G4 iMac. even normally simple upgrades like adding RAM or installing a larger hard drive can exceed many users' "do-it-yourself" abilities.
