How to delete an app data from iCloud ?

I have some bad app with unwanted data in it

( this is not the question but app name is readmill and problem with it is if you add a PDF from safari then it cannot be deleted from that app, and i manage to add by mistake same PDF several times)

now, if i delete the app i get the message "it will also delete its data", but that is NOT TRUE, if i reinstall the app, then the app data is back there be cause it is stored in iCloud or something

question is general (not only about my particular case above)

How can I delete an app data from iCloud ?

and btw, i hope i won't get answers like "change your apple id" ... just hope

Thank you for answer but, the above mentioned app is not listed in Documents and Data 😟

I don't want to hide that app, what I want is to use it but with its data erased, also, this is something that I should be able to do, not only this app (I posted on their blog, on app review, etc.) but also another apps may have problems like this and iCloud REALLY backup data from every app and usually I bless this feature in some apps like games where you can have your progress on every device and after every backup/restore/upgrade/new device/etc.

After your answer I just checked if another apps which i know that have their data saved and also not listed in Documents and Data 😟

Deleting an app would normally delete the app data. If this isn't happening, try going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the app under Documents & Data, tap Edit, then see if you get an option to delete the app data from iCloud.

As far as deleting apps from iCloud, the short answer is you can't. You can't because they aren't stored in your iCloud account, they are only stored in the App store. When you delete an app you will still see it on your purchased list because Apple won't delete any of your previous purchases. If you don't want to see it, you can hide it in iTunes on your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919. After doing so, it will remain hidden on your purchased list unless you unhide it again.

Documents and Data will only list apps that are syncing documents and data with iCloud. If they aren't listed, the data is being stored locally on your device, not in iCloud.

As indicated in the prompt you received when deleting the app, when you delete an app its locally stored data show also be deleted. Then reinstalling the app should start with a fresh copy without your old data. If this isn't happening, you might need to delete the app, then try restoring your device because something is not working properly.

My post about hiding apps was in response to your general question about how to delete an app from iCloud. You can't delete them from iCloud, you can only hide them.
