Q: I have a Pages document which I saved in iCloud on my MacAir but it does not show up in a search on my Imac? I welcome any assistance.

I have a Pages document which I saved in iCloud on my MacBook Air but I cannot access on my Imac. How do I go about accessing it? Thanks.

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), iOS 7.0.6

A:

10.7 is Lion. You would have to upgrade to Mavericks to have 10.9. If your system meets the system requirements, you can upgrade to Mavericks for free from the Mac App Store. These are the system requirements for Mavericks: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842.

To be safe, you should back up your Mac before upgrading, using Time Machine or the program of your choice.

Are you signed into the same iCloud account in System Preferences>iCloud on both Macs? On you iMac, did you check Documents & Data in System Preferences, then click "Options" and make sure Pages is checked?

On my MacBook Air, Documents & Data is checked and Pages appears under Options. On my iMac, Documents & Data is checked but there is no Options button.

It might be different on a different version of OS X than you (10.9, Mavericks). Have you tried uncheking Documents & Data on your iMac, restarting your Mac, then checking it again?

It appears that the Mac Air is OS X 10.9.2. whereas the iMac is 10.7.2 but when I try to update the latter, it tells me that it is up to date??
