I have a iPhone 3G it's up to date with IOS 6.1.6 but will not update or download any apps but I've looked at my apps compacity my iPhone is compatible with them. Can anyone help? I've tried everything not understanding why my apps won't update or download new ones.

You have iPhone 3GS (iPhone 3G IOS can only get 4.2.1 not later).
Sign out your Apple ID and sign back in after a minute.
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > here.
Also check whether your credit info linked to your Apple ID is still valid.
I tried signing out of my ID it didn't work any other suggestions ?
What error messages did you get when downloading/updating?
It doesn't give me a error message I click install app and either nothing happens or the cloud with the arrow pops up witch means I've downloaded it and deleted it??? But nothing is showing up on my phone...
Have you tried using the iTunes on computer to download?
Yes nothing happens says it downloads but nothing is there
