Flip camera on Omegle for iPhone

Hello to all!

I have raised this issue in an earlier thread but learnt that one cannot do that. Recently, while using an app called spotliter, I was enable to switch between back and front cameras while shooting video.

However, I find that after shooting a video with spotliter, though there comes this message that the video has been saved to the photo gallery, I am unable to find it there! However, there does appear that video icon at the bottom left corner of the screen and the video plays true to the mode of capture: shows that it has both portions of the shooting, that done by the back and front camera.

Is there any other way in which one can switch between back and front cameras while shooting with an iPhone? Such a feature will be a great thing to have when taking interviews. Thanks in advance!

PS. If anyone can help me to understand where a video shot with spotliter is stored and how it can be accessed, I would be grateful.

Hi - You can switch between front and back cameras when you use Spotliter. You can do it live when recording or you can also pause, flip between the cameras and restart recording. To do so, simply tap the flip camera icon at the top of the viewfinder.

All Spotliter photos and videos are saved to your iPhone's gallery. You should be able to find them in the main gallery as well as in the Spotliter album when you tap on Photos.

Hello netokr. Thanks for replying. Yes, I do know that I can switch cameras while shooting video with Spotliter.

My problem is this: the photos and videos which I shoot are not being saved to iPhone's gallery. Is there any reason for this? Have I need to tweak any settings? May I know what and where is the Spotliter album?

Regards and take care.

Dr. Somanna - When you start the application the first time, the app requests your permission to access the photo gallery. This permission is required for all apps to be able to access the photo gallery and to store content there. It may be that you hit no instead of yes to this prompt. You can change this setting to allow access by going to

settings->privacy->photos->spotliter.

Hope that addresses your issue and thank you for using Spotliter.

I feel like dancing! Yes, your latest reply has solved my problem!

BTW, may I know why you are thanking me for using Spotliter?

Since you seem to be so knowledgeable regarding this app, I wish to inform you that while shooting video with the front camera, there appears to be a certain latency in the audio...the audio was out of sync with my lip movements. Is this normal?

We are thanking you because our company is the developer of the Spotliter app :-).

In response to your question, what you are seeing is not normal. We performed significant development and extensive testing prior to releasing the app specifically recording videos with both front and back cameras across many different iPhone versions (5S, 5C, 5, 4S, 4) to ensure that audio and video stay in sync and have seen no issues. We have, on occasion, seen some sync issues between audio and video when that video is subsequently uploaded to and played back on YouTube. However, when that same video was played back on the device or on other platforms such as Facebook, the audio and video were fully in sync.

Please check out additional information on spotliter.com/faqs.

Let me thanks you for placing your app in my hands absolutely free of cost! I had downloaded the app nearly 2 months ago but could not get to use it, reason being...I could not find the video in the photo gallery. [ Where are my videos recorded with spotliter app? ]

Now that things are fine, and the app improved further, taking up both videos and photos, I hope I would be able to develop skills in using it for my video needs.

You have mentioned that the audio-video asynchrony I am experiencing with the front camera is not normal. Is there any way by which sync can be achieved? Should I trash the app and do a fresh download?

Closing with a deep thanks for making such an app available.

Regards and take care.

Thanks yet again.

Shall try out going for a fresh instal.

And if there are further problems, I will contact you directly.

Would like also to know whether one can simultaneously record with front and back cameras, a question which I had asked about 9 months ago at these forums on this link:

I would like to know how, while shooting video with iSight camera, one can also capture face time video?

Regards and take care!
