Netgear N600 Router, extending the wireless with Time Capsule?

I have a Netgear N600 Router (model DGND3700), running firmware V1.0.0.17_1.0.17. And a Time Capsule model A1409, running version 7.6.4 of the firmware. I want to set them up so that the Time Capsule extends the wireless network of the NG600--is this possible? I have tried many times as soon as I set the Time Capsule wireless settings to Extend Wireless Network on the Airport Utility (v 6.3.2), it seems to 'jam' my wifi network. I have tried fiddling with a lot of settings on both devices, to no avail.

I would love to do this so that I can 'unhook' the Time Capsule from being wired to the modem (and place it more strategically in the house for safety of its data), as well as getting better signal coverage in my house. Does anybody have any answers?
