New Apple ID but can't update apps

I've changed my Apple ID on my ipad from my exs account to mine but it still asks for the old account password when I try to update my apps, I've gone through all apple apps and changed the id's to mine and it still doesn't work

iPad, iOS 7.0.6

All apps are tied to the Apple ID they are purchased with and is not transferable. Use old Apple ID to update.

Did you always have your own Apple ID or did you use your ex's account? If you've always had your own you won't be able to change theirs to yours - hope this makes sense?


If you have changed their email address to yours via: http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/ have you tried logging in there using the link on the left with your Apple ID and password? If not give it a try, make sure it works.


If it does then check Settings->iTunes & App Store, which ID appears there?
