To cut a long story short, I need to get rid of all references to Genieo in my browser window

I downloaded some printer software for a Canon printer. The software was 3rd party stuff from Genieo (which I have since deleted all references to, but when I open Google from my favorites bar, there it is again, like this:

It wasn't like that at all this morning, and I want to get rid of it.....full stop!!

Any clues, anyone. I've been into Safari Preferences, and still I can't seem to shift it.
