Q: Can't connect iPad 2 to Airport after restoring iPad

I am giving my iPad 2 to my wife. I reset everything and did a restore through iTunes. So it has a fresh install of iOS 7.0.6.

Now, it will not connect to my Airport Extreme network! I get this message, time after time:

"No Network Connection

The Wi-Fi network you selected is not providing an Internet connection.

Change your settings or choose a different network."

Here is what I tried:

  • I rebooted the Airport Extreme
  • I reset the iPad (several times).

I triple-checked I am using the right settings (password, security [WPA2]).

I am well within range of the Airport.

All other devices using this Airport is working fine.

This iPad has worked fine for me ever since I got it with this same network.

I thank you in advance for suggestions or ideas.

    Hi Dunestrider,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I recommend trying these additional steps if you cannot connect to the internet with your iPad:

iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398

    • Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.

    • Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
      • Tap TS1398_i.png and Forget this Network, and then reconnect to the network.

    • Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
    • Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
      • previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
      • recently used Bluetooth accessories
      • VPN and APN settings

    Best Regards,

    Jeremy
