I'm trying to remove a New York Times extention. There is no uninstall button and I cannt figur out what to do to get rid of it.
MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)
The extension (plugin) for Safari is either in
/Library/InternetPlugins/ folder, or in
yourname/Library/InternetPlugins folder.
Look there and find the NYT plugin, delete it.
Please post a screenshot that shows what you mean. Be careful not to include any private information.

Message was edited by: sammy1214 At the top of the screen there is an extension (NYT) and I cannot get rid of it. I just placed it there a few days ago, thinking I could remoe it but I can't. Maybe it's an ad for the NYT. Any Ideas?
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Select the extension you want to remove and click Uninstall.
There is no uninstall button.

Is this an extension or a menu bar item? If a menu bar item, try holding down the command key while clicking and holding the item while dragging it from the menu bar. If not please post a screen shot.
That is the question. It is like an ítem in the toolbar "New York Times Updates". How to remover it?

That New York Times Updates appears embebed in widget bar.
Safari/Bookmarks/Favorites - delete the link there.
