After gmail notifier was retired, I wasn't able to get a gmail icon for my dock or top bar. Can anyone help?

I don't have a cool little Google icon - all I have is a + inside a circle
You can drag the little google icon that is at the very left of your address bar in your browser down to the dock, and it makes a cool spring icon in the dock. You can do this for your inbox page in Gmail, or for any other web page, for that matter.
You can also configure Mail.app so it accesses your Gmail, and then it can notify you with the Mail dock icon if you have new mail in that account, with a little red icon badge.
Thank you, Arthur. Yes, I did that already (I saw your previous post about this) but was hoping to get that original icon back. I deleted gmail notifier and then the problem began. I really liked the way things were before!
