This computer is already associated with an Apple ID
Hi there,
I subscribed iTunes Match 20 days ago and everything went swiftly until last Friday. I was creating a new playlist and a I noticed that the small cloud icon was missing. I went to the Store menu and saw that the iTunes Match was off. I turned it on and went to the iTunes Match page in Music. Pressed the start blue button and an error message appeared: This computer is already associated with an Apple ID.
I am clueless on how this could happen. Even though I have another Apple ID for the Portuguese iTunes Store, my iMac has always been associated with the Apple ID for the Spanish store with which I subscribed iTunes Match. I also have an iPhone 4 associated to this Apple ID and I have no interest in this being changed.
I am frustrated that I barely used my iTunes Match subscription in these 20 days and that I am no longer able to use it properly.
Does anyone know how can I associate back my iMac with the correct Apple ID?
I've searched innumerous Apple's KB Articles and discussion forum posts. There are a lot of other similar cases though I'm unable to find a proper solution to this issue. I already contacted Apple Support by mail twice only to receive answers to issues that had nothing to do with the problem.
Frustration..................
Hope that one kind soul has the needed solution.
Cheers,
JP
