Just a few moments ago I couldn't take any more pictures on my iPad air, I have about 904 pictures, is there a limit on how many photos you can take?

Any limit would generally be larger than 904.
What are the exact symptoms that occur (or things you expect that do not occur) when you try to take a photo?
One quick thing to check is Settings > General > Usage to see if you ran out of storage.

98GB left? That is a huge amount of storage. Apparently you have the 128GB iPad Air.
So if you still cannot take photos, I recommend these two steps:
1. Reset the iPad. Hold the home and on/off buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
2. If the reset doesn't fix it, then your iPad Air is under warranty, so you should take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center to figure out the next steps.
