Error message - registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's & DVD's

I receive the following message when opening i tunes:

"The registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall itunes." Then I select the OK option and itunes opens.

I have deleted itunes and then reinstalled and i get the same message.

How can I stop this message when opening itunes?

Please advise.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

I was able to go to Control Panel | Programs and Features | and selected iTunes and clicked Repair. That got rid of the error for me on Windows 7.

Hi,

I tried the reinstall, the registry fix and the repair (not in that order), nothing worked for me. I have the latest iTunes, the latest drivers and am running on Windows 7.

Can anyone help with any other ideas?
