Additional info
- iTunes worked properly until I exchanged my antivirus software for AVG free 2014
- iTunes still fails to open after turning disabling AVG
- iTunes fails to open with or without internet connection (this doesn't apear to be a Store or download related issue)
- Reinstallation of iTunes and QuickTime have not solved the issue
- QuickTime player also fails to open (error message below)

- Reputable registration fix doesn't help
- Running as administrator doesn't help (neither iTunes nor QuickTime)
- iTunes will open in a breif window of time immediately after computer reboots
I've tried all basic troubleshooting and other solutions to similar issues, nothing has helped
iPod nano, Windows 7, HP 635
