Photo transferring

Hi

I have an iPad 1st gen. that has photos stored on it. I'm trying to get them back to my new computer as my old one's hard drive crashed. Using a Macbook OS 10.9.

Is there a program anyone could offer to help me out in this situation? Thanks all
