Q: After FCPX 10.1 Crash, event in Library empty?

I am working on a very large project in FCPX 10.1 in a library in one event where I have 48 compound clips. The project also uses media in other events in the library. While working in one CC, FCPX crashed. When I reopened FCPX the event with the project and 48 compound clips was empty. Other events were still there. I went out to the external hard drive to review the contents of the library and event and the event was all there. I am uncertain what I should do next? It just seems like FCPX does not recognize it?

Final Cut Pro X, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), Buffalo External 3.0 drive 3 TB

Don't know. But select the libarary in the app and File>Open Library>From Backup. Choose one of the library instances that precedes the crash.

A new twist has occured when I try to open the Library. It goes through the whole loading process, and now the whole Library does not appear. When I try to open it again, I get the message that "The Operation couldn't be completed. Permission denied. "Primary" (my name for the library) is already in use by "myname" on "my-names-macbook-pro-2.local".

I tried opening another Library on the same external drive and this was successful.

I was in the middle of replacing an external backup drive to backup my external drive with 2.4 TB of data, so I am a bit concerned. The project I am finishing up was a 17 GB 1 hour and 45 minute movie.

Apparently the crash left the library database corrupted.

I was unable to find the file you recommended to remove in this Library. I searched for it in many ways? Where is the file traditionally located within the library?
