Authenticated binding to 10.9.2 server woes.

I recently setup 10.9.x with server on a Mac Mini. Have setup DNS replication, Open Directory (Master) and Software Update configured. Our network is a Windows AD Domain with a Golden Triangle setup for the mac clients. When trying to bind a client to OD, it finds the server, certificate etc and asks for the credentials. When the correct credentials are entered, it says "Binding..." and then errors with "Invalid Credentials supplied. Please enter valid credentials that allow access to the directory specified."

Clients are pointed to the DNS of the Mac Mini in question and the password has been reset on the directory admin account. Have rebuilt the server from scratch again just to be sure. Interesting that our 10.6.x XServe could successfully bind using the same credentials that keep failing with the 10.9.x clients.

Unauthenticated binding works correctly but would like authenticated binding to work.

Hopefully it is just something simple that I have missed. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
