Is there a av to usb that supports MacBook Pro?

I have a 2004 HDV camcorder that has a Audio Visual. I need to transfer the video from the camcorder to my computer. I have a MacBook Pro. Does Apple make softwear and conversion that will help me do this. I have tried several others transfer but they are only compatible for Windows.
