Q: Nikon D4s Update ETA?

Would anyone know when the ETA for the Nikon D4s RAW (NEF) files compatibiliy update would be?

Just finished two straight days of shooting to find I cannot see or edit the photos on my Mac.

Aperture 3, Mac OS X (10.6.8), iMac 27" late 2010 - i7 Quad

Here we are at 15 May and still nothing. I have had my D4S for about three weeks now and moved to Lightroom 5/PS to be able to post process my work. Dreadful performance Apple. The longer it takes the more hassle I'll have.

When Aperture 4 comes out it better have a LR5 to Aperture convertor in it !

More helpful would be an Aperture to LR, C1P, or DxO converter. We've been waiting years for Aperture 4. Why would anyone expect Apple to suddenly stay current?

C'mon guys. None of that (converters) is going to happen. Expend your energy on constructive posts, please.

It's not an unreasonable proposition. If you dig into the library, you'll find that the .apmaster and .apversion files associated with each master are actually .plist files that you can open and examine in Xcode. The metadata and adjustments are all there, ripe for the taking. One of the numerous shortcomigs of Aperture is that it can't export hierarchical keywords ever or write GPS tags to raw files. But a couple lines of Ruby could solve that. Trying to make sense of the adjustments would take some doing. The types of adjustments are pretty obvious, but settings aren't clear.

Considering all the flak that Aperture gets here and elsewhere, if it were easy someone would have done it by now.
