Hi I have a Pioneer AVH-X3600DAB and all the relevant cables to connect my iPhone 5 including an Apple lightning to VGA adapter.Why is the Pioneer telling me the "USB is not Compatable"?
if you connected it to the vga port and not the usb port then would try reading the tv's manual as to why it would give an error when nothing was connected to usb

This is the connection, I think the adapter is faulty as I've tried 2 iPhones
what if you don't connect the usb bit ?

You need to set the ipod mode from iPod Via Usb to iPod via Bluetooth.
To do this you need to do the following.
Turn off bluetooth on your device.
Disconnect all the cables to the device.
Go into the settings on the X3600DAB then scroll down till you see the iPod connection mode click on the iPod via usb then on the next page do the same thing again it should now change to iPod via Bluetooth.
Just a FYI regarding App radio it doesnt work very well at all very buggy I think you might have better luck with and android device and the Mirror box.
