Power Button/Sleep Mode not working on Mavericks

I installed Mavericks on my late 2011 MacBook Pro and like how the power button works now. The problem is I installed Parallels last night and now the power button doesn't work the same way. If I press it briefly, it does nothing. If I hold it down for a few seconds I have the power down/restart/sleep options. Is there a way to turn it back on so a brief press of the button puts it to sleep?

I have tried restarting, not running Parallels and most any configuration I can think of but still no luck.
