I have a new iMac 27" and Apple cd drive. ive imported several hundread cds using Apple lossless however ive just noticed a couple of the imported cds when played sound like they have white noise over the top of the audio!
ive just deleted and re-imported those albums however they are exactly the same!
id be greatful of any ideas as to what could cause this?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), 1st mac, and its a beauty!
I've now checked and out of over 250 CDs imported only two have this problem (Maddonas confessions on a dance floor and Chris Rea very best of)!
I've deleted both and re-imported but exactly the same, I've imported another cd to confirm the drive was ok and it is!
I've restarted everything but still just these two CDs have this problem!
If I play them in another CD player there fine!
Very bizarre!
Further investigation today and I've found it's only the first track of both albums that suffer this problem!
All other tracks on both albums are fault free!
Explain that??
