getting "Apple Application Support not found" ITunes won't start, how can I resolve this?

Geting "Apple Application Support Not" error when starting ITunes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ITunes. I have Win 8.1

Install 7-Zip (free) and download a fresh copy of iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe as appropriate. Right-click on the downloaded installer and use the option to unpack its contents, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. It may not necessarily install, but if it doesn't you may get a useful error message regarding any problem.
