Mail Asks For My Password Every Morning Every Day -- Then All Is Well

My system is set up to turn on early every morning. The schedule works fine and new emails download to my Mail. My email account works fine as messages go to my phone and tablet too.

But in the last little while the first time in the day when I go to send a message from my Mac that dialog box opens and asks for my password.

I type in the password and everything is fine all day but the next time ...

Any ideas?

My email is a gmail.com address

I'm running Mac Mail 4.6 and OS X 10.6.8

Thanks

Try going to Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access and deleting your account password. If that doesn't work, try running Keychain First Aid and resetting the original keychain.

Keychain Reset
