Updated IOS software to 7.0.6 recently. Now my date years says 2557 instead of 2014. Will does not go back. I cannot find a reason for this but it was the new date after the update of the software?

I recently updated my IPad with the new IOS update to 7.0.6. Now my date year says 2557 instead of 2014. Can not find information on how to undue the software update? Can not change the year since it does not go down just up. I am at a loss. My warranty ran out last month, of course. I do not thank it is fair to make me pay $19.95 to fix a problem that I did not create. I tried to get help online, but all this solutions to help unless I have the care package was to pay $19.95. Still a different issue. Does anyone know how or what to do to fix this without setting everything back to default? There is no guarantee that will fix it, either?
