Hi everyone,
I am using Apple Mail for my work email and I have had this software for years now but I don't think it has changed much.
It isn't really user friendly, not easy to customer/personalise and I was wondering if I missed an update or if there is a Apple software that replaces it?

Apple don't announce their future plans and no-one on here would know anything about this. There are other Mail clients you could use and might find preferable.
Incidentally though your signature says you have Mavericks, you've posted in the forum dedicated to the much older system Snow Leopard. It doesn't affect the answer in this case, but in general if you ask questions in a forum for the wrong system you are going to get some confusing answers.

I know that Apple doesn't announce future updates etc. I just thought I had 'missed' an upgrade.
For the second part, my mistake. I will make sure I select Mavericks next time.

You could ask in the Mavericks forum for someone to tell you what the current version of Mail is, just to confirm you are up to date (I don't use Mavericks so I can't tell you).
