I just had a crash on Keynote 6.0. I am still not sold on it, but am trying to start to trust it. Low an dbehold I worked on a file for about 3 hours and now lost it all in a keynote app crash. Where has that file gone though? It has to be somewhere on the hard drive? Any help would be much appreciated. I dont have a timemachine backup for it. The last saved version on the system is not updated to the one where I did 3 hours work on the doc.

You should be aware of the following:

You really must use Keynote version 6.1 so update if you don't have that

Keynote 6.1 only runs under Mavericks OS

Use version 6.1 only for files created in 6.1 (don't open version 5 files in 6.1)

Mavericks should be clean installed to be stable (the drive repartition before installing)

have at least 8 GB of RAM installed

always have more than 20% of the hard dive space free

if these conditions are met, Keynote will be stable and usable
