"Why does" my Iphone 4s occasionally deletes all contacts and calendar?

The contacts and calender for no apparent reason just vanish, goes completely missing, deletes itself..........

By turning off calendar & contacts in setting,

Then selecting the deleting from phone option,

Then turning off the phone and back on.

It works.

But my question is,

Whats wrong with my phone, is it broken, is it malfunctioning,

how many others are getting this?

This phone 4s was purchased when it came out.. so that will explain its age.

Hard to say what's causing it, but you might want to save your photo stream photos to your camera roll, then go to Settings>iCloud, scroll down and tap Delete Account, provide your password and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your data will still be in iCloud), then after 30 seconds or so, sign back in.

If it continues to disconnect from iCloud, you might need to restore your phone. If you do, be sure to back it up first.

How to locate my photo stream photos, the ones currently on my phone are called camera roll.

Open the Photos app, tap Albums, tap My Photo Stream. If you don't see this album you must not be using photo stream (and if you go to Settings>iCloud>Photos, My Photo Stream should be Off). If you don't have any photo stream photos and aren't using photo stream, you can skip this step.
