Mar 25, 2014 12:48 PM in response to adrihollenbeckby mcfi instructor,I have installed the latest IOS 7.1 on both my iPhone and iPad 3. I use Keynote quite extensively and was using the Keynote Remote app on my iPhone until Apple recently trashed it out of the App store (I paid $ for this) and it worked for me. I thought that the built in app a good idea. That was until recently when I have had kinds of problems getting it to sync. I usually put the Keynote presentation together on my iMac. On the Cloud it goes to all my devices with no problem with updates, etc. Now when I try to show it on my iPad using my iPhone as a remote the iPhone does not seem to connect. This is even when trying both Bluetooth and WiFi and after I tried all of the solutions of shutting down and restarting, etc. I do see the iPhone is recognized as a remote, but it still does not pick up the connection. Somehow I wonder if the new upgrade to IOS 7.1 has something to do with this??? I am really exasperated as I need to get this working for my next presentation! Can anyone give me any idea of how to fix this? I have even quit the Apps in both the iPad and iPhone and restarted Keynote thinking this might be the problem.........still no solution.

Mar 25, 2014 12:57 PM in response to adrihollenbeckby mcfi instructor,After trying everything mentioned in the forum and the Apple instructions on how to use the built-in app in Keynote, I finally gave up. Here was my solution as I need to contol my Keynote presentation from the iPad to the Projector. What I did was to order a 25' HDMI cable from Amazon. That way I could hook up my iPad to my Epson projector as usual via the HDMI cable and from a distance control the presentation. This is in leu of using my iPhone wirelessly to control the presentation using the remote feature built into the Keynote app on my iPad. Until this glitch gets solved on the community board, it is the only real answer for me. I wish Apple did not remove the old Keynote app as at least it worked for me. I still somehow feel it is the upgrade to IOS 7.1 that has caused this to happen and until many others realize this, Apple might not address the issue.
