deleting bookmarks folder?

I recently upgraded the software on my Macbook Pro to OS X 10.9.2, and upon syncing my iPhone 5s with iTunes, all of my bookmarks from Safari on my Mac synced to my iPhone. I figured out how to keep that from happening, and deleted all the bookmarks from my phone that were not on there prior to the sync.

However, I had a bunch of bookmarks in the "Bookmarks Menu" folder on my iPhone. They are still there, but now there's a second "Bookmarks Menu" folder on my iPhone that is undeleteable and is filled with the bookmarks from Safari on my Mac. Is there any way to get rid of this folder? It's incredibly annoying, especially since I now have two folders called "Bookmarks Menu" on my iPhone, and only want the original one from my phone there.
