AirPlay option disappears after switching from Wireless to Ethernet

I switched from using my Apple TV wirelessly to using ethernet. Everything works fine EXCEPT that I can no longer use airplay between my iPad and iPhone and the AppleTV (AirPlay from my iMac still works). What am I missing?
