XC_BAD_ACCESS / KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS

Hi:

I keep having Firefox crash, which this error message "XC_BAD_ACCESS / KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS"

what does it mean?

It is happening in other apps too but i mainly in FF.

It happened before i upgraded to maverick osx. I use a macbook pro.
