Q: iPhoto will not open

My IPhoto will not open. Just get the spinning circle. I have to force it to close. When I look at my IPhone library it says it is --KB in size. Did I lose my entire library? Can it be rebuilt? Not sure what version I am using but bought Mac in '09 and no upgrades.

iMac (27-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Disregard my last reply.  You were right.  There are 2 libraries.  I was able to open the Default library by going in through Finder and it opened.  That is the folder that has all of my photos.  Not sure why I have two libraries, because before today I did not know how to create a new library.

    Thanks for your help!
